A Lesson For Us All
Everyone should read these two articles. Not necessarily for what they have to say, but for how they are said.
It is OK to disagree with someone without condeming them to hell because they may have one little understanding that is different than your own… and of course, God thinks the exact same way as you and therefore the heretic will burn.
I do not agree with everything that Mr.Witherington writes, but I greatly respect the way he frames his criticism. I really enjoy Rob Bell, but I don’t agree with everything he says, and he does tend to conflate Second Temple and pre-Second Jewish Rebellion Judaism with the rabbinical Judaism that grew afterwards – but he’s still brilliant.
Anyways, if you are always getting into name calling fights and think Christianity is about who is wrong then read these two articles and take a few pointers.
