Found at BHT : Where Phillip writes, “No, seriously, this article by and about the L.A. Times religion reporter is heart-breaking. So many people in this world drift on one side or the other of that line of doubt, and we’re the cause. The church is the cause. We should be ashamed of ourselves, and strive to represent Christ better. Even now I’m tempted to point to the RCC as the major source of trouble in this man’s life, but it doesn’t matter. It could have been any church.
Amen, Brother.
This is when it becomes so painfully obvious that none of this stuff is benign, or laughable, or ignorable.
When you love and reverence Christ, and you’re doing your best to be a credible Christ-follower, stories like this become an almost unbearable pain in your psyche.
