Many people that come here may be surprised to find that I actually do some serious academic work. OK, serious might not be the right term, but I’m not trying to be funny.
We had the opportunity in one of my two hundred level classes to realize one of our papers in an alternative format: I choose to make a sort of blog website. The name for the blog is Dragons and Sea Monsters and it is a study of ancient Near Eastern myths and their use in the Hebrew Bible pertaining to Leviathan.
One advantage of choosing this medium was an opportunity to write less formally than required on many papers. The drawback was using WordPress which I both like and loathe. There are some things pertaining to formatting that I just can’t figure out (yet) and create within me the desire to go to their headquarters and resurrect the hockey player within me and kick some blessed assurance.
Hmmm… maybe I’ll post some of my work on Enoch and then Tilling will have to move me into biblioblogs instead of theoblogs!
Anyways if you missed the link above then click [HERE] for most likely more than you ever wanted to know on the HB’s use of the term Leviathan.
