Anything Average to Midland is Worth Waiting For?

October 29, 2008

You may have noticed things have been a little slow here at Scotteriology the last week, well it’s that time of year: midterms, presentations, and several research papers due. So if I am posting at a Chris Tilling like pace, or even a Tyler Williams pace through November please do not rush to the conclusion that I have quit blogging and strike me from the rolls.

I must be faithful to the amount of money my family is allowing me to invest in schooling, and the sacrifice they make with some of my time, and for the next few weeks prioritize my schoolwork.

That said I do have a post for my American friends that will be up in the next couple of days. Hmmm… I wonder what might be happening in the American political scene that the Christian right might need some skewering?

On an unrelated note I received an e-mail yesterday:

Hi Scott,

I was writing a post for my blog today on 1 John 2:20. The content reminded me of your work, so I mentioned it in my post.

I just wanted to thank you for your blog. I survived Bible College on The Door magazine, and am glad to know that satire and prophetic self-criticism isn’t dead.

Steve

Thank you for the e-mail Steve. Satire and prophetic self-criticism may be coming slowly, but it shall resume in full force very soon.

I think that would be “average to middlin’”, but hey, who’s quibbling – especially with an MSS (Master of Satire and Sarcasm) with a world-wide audience?

    (couldn’t resist – sorry!!!)
