Calling All Logos Users And Bibliobloggers!
Currently, Augsburg Fortress Press’ commentary series Hermeneia is undergoing a bit of a face lift at Logos (from 38 vols. to 43). While this update is taking place the series is unavailable for purchase. For those that have consulted Hermeneia in the past you know the value and quality of this series, however, if you wanted just a single book for your Logos library for any research you were not able to buy just a book by itself. The problem with this is that not only can’t you by a single volume many can’t afford to purchase the full set due to its large price tag. Arrrggghhh!
My suggestion is that if you are a professors, student, pastor, or scholar write to Augsburg during this time of updating and request the ability to buy single volumes in this series without having to purchase the entire set. Perhaps, if we make enough noise this may become an available option in the near future. Let me give you a hand. You can copy paste this letter, modify it, or send your own. But send something!
To Whom It May Concern,
As a loyal user of your excellent Hermeneia series and a customer of Libronix I am writing you to request that you make electronic single volumes of your Hermeneia series available during the current update of the set.
While I would desire the entire series in the current economic environment this is simply not realistic. However, I feel that myself and many, many others would very likely purchase single volumes of this series if the possibility to do so was made available.
Yours sincerely,

Oh, and for those of you who get free copies of Logos resources for review: I curse and vex thee with a most uncomfortable pox on thy sensitive nether regions.

Don’t get me started on LOGOS! You should try getting a copy of the NIV for Logos if you live in Australia! I love the program. I use OL everyday and couldn’t work without it. However, I get frustrated with their marketing and propaganda.
I have emailed them requesting review copies of the WBC and I didn’t even get a reply!
Oh well, I will just have to stick with the hardcover edition of Hermeneia. I am using Luz’s Matthew commentary in the series. It is fantastic!
