Anti-Intellectuals: The Road Runner Analogy

I have certain acquaintances in my life whom pretty much believe they can make magic things happen by setting their intention and uttering an incantation. Sure they would use different wording but the function is the same. When pressed for an explanation (other than “I believe it”) the laws pf physics, science, and any rational thought are utterly obliterated. (FYI: the religion I am referencing above is not Christianity).

I found this video ironically amusing.

Any thoughts on the analogy?
