Following yesterday’s post Facts? Facts? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Facts! there were several humorous comments. To understand what follows here you’ll have to peek at the other one first. However, for those that were in on that post and comment thread I thought maybe we could start a “Fact” gathering discussion here following the lead of Jon and anummabrooke:

You get the point. They can be funny (making us laugh is always good); or rather, ‘facts’ that are often repeated without any real investigation of the subject matter at hand. I’ll get us started.
Fact: there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever for the ‘theory’ of evolution
True Fact: In some countries people are forced to live underground due to earthquakes or continental shifts.
Fact: If you inhale the hair of a dog; it’ll burrow its way to your brain and you’ll want to sniff the butt of the next person you meet.
Phackt: If you visit this blog more than once a week you will be legally retarded in just over 3 months.
