Non-Rapture Fall-Out: Business As Usual
Here’s a video of Robert Fitzpatrick at Times Square a few minutes after the rapture failed to materialize. Fitzpatrick is the poor fool who spent his life savings putting up billboards around NYC.
Harold Camping, the chief dilettante at the center of this madness, has not had much to say other than he is “flabbergasted”.
Apparently though, Family Radio is already up and running!

Poor deceived disillusioned sheep… Led off the edge of the financial cliff because he followed the teachings of a dilettante. I love how he refers to the “proofs.” *sigh*

memhole.
What is perhaps the most troubling is that the site still requests donations…
3.NO APOLOGY!
Apology?
Why should there be an apology?
And if there should be an apology, it should come from God, and not from Harold Camping. After all, it was God’s Bible that guaranteed a 5/21/11 Rapture.
Facepalm.
Camping’s billboards say that the Bible guarantees that 5/21/11 is Judgment Day. Who else can he blame but God for failing to keep His Word? After all, Camping merely declared what the Bible clearly said. He obeyed God in warning the people, but God failed to do as He’d promised.
Unless Camping is willing to admit that the Bible does not guarantee a 5/21/11 Judgment Day, he truly doesn’t owe anyone an apology.
Latest news is Camping has backpedaled to “The Rapture Did Happen on May 21st, but It Was A Spiritual Rapture (TM)”.
Morning drive-time radio started speculating whether this means ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE with all those soulless husks still walking around after being Spiritually Raptured.
Eric, why in the world would you try to make that argument? It’s absurd.
brgulker:
It’s the only argument Camping can make, IMO. FWIW, I think Camping is the one who is absurd. Not just absurd, but evil (also IMO). The whole Rapture doctrine is awful.
