The bible in a sense is defining why God and humans do not click.
The first issue is man alone, faced with the Lord, holiness, rules cannot walk righteously, obey or be real. Time and again people tried, and failed.
Jesus came with a message of heart transformation through love. Unfortunately this is also complicated and difficult to understand. John in the gospel said literally God is love.
Many theologians defined our problem was original sin.
In reality we are born in the image of God with a heart of love. Being born alone with a conscious mind, we react when hurt and disappointed to lash out at those around us.
Soon the difference between how we feel internally and how we behave becomes more distant.
The illusion is people are interested in signs of Gods presence. Nothing would change if He did appear, the rebellion would just be complete.
He has called the elect, before the beginning of time and in his order, they will come.
His gospel plants love back in peoples heart, and opens up their emotions to show in all aspects of their life, so they now love from the heart, not made up, but in reality.
There have been enough signs, especially for those who have sealed there hearts off and are now completely hard hearted.
I suspect the writer of this item is that very man, who has sealed his heart off from the Lord of Hosts, our true Father.

He created beings who he know, from the beginning, would be rebellious. To me, this act of creation is the first evil, the ultimate evil.
