Finding Sin More Sinful Sin Than My Sin

September 22, 2010

This preacher’s ‘sermonette’ in a nutshell: “I may be fat, but you’re Gay, and God hates that more… because of Sodom and Gomorrah.”

Hey, pastor-two-tonnes-of-fun, obesity is now the leading cause of unnecessary death in America over smoking, and for the first time in history, more people died in the world last year from obesity than starvation.

Do you think there might be some serious theological implications in that? A segment of humanity is dying from having too much, and another segment is dying from having too little?

“But the Ghay” says pastor Tiny!

I think Conservative Evangelicalism with its tiny flags in front of the pulpit, with gluttonous emotional abusers behind that pulpit (don’t question the Lord’s anointed!), might need to die before ‘Christian’ can be a useful adjective with positive connotations again.

I think it’s those Comfort Food Church Potlucks that are a Baptist custom. They like to eat hearty in the former Confederate States.

I would like to point out that when Obesity (TM) becomes a major problem among the poor of a country, it tells you that whatever that country’s problems, Third World-level poverty isn’t one of them. When even the poor can easily get fat, that tells you their country is Prosperous.
