Bible Defenders Video Game

October 23, 2010

I’m speechless… I’ll leave the commentary up to you guys and girls.

A simple game of good versus evil. A Christian “parody” of the Super Mario Bros. games.

Play as one of 4 different characters: Creation science evangelists “Dr.” Carl Baugh & “Dr.” Kent Hovind, author Gail Riplinger & Pastor Peter Ruckman

About 21 levels.

Kent Hovind himself said of this game:
It’s great.  I love it.

I get a twitch in my eye when anyone refers to Kent as a “Dr.”… yeah, and I’m Batman.

Heads up via.

I tried it, as hovind of course, because the game promises he can ride a fire breathing dragon, where as the others just throw things. I never got a dragon though. You can’t die — as soon as you fall somewhere an angel picks you up. And the bad guys make hovind say “ow”, but nothing else happens. There are a bunch of bugs in the game too, oh well, guess I shouldn’t have had my hopes up so much.

For a cheap laugh, try to drop Hovind into lava in such a way that the respawns in open space away from any ledges. That way it looks as if an angel repeatedly throws Hovind in a fiery pit!

Does Hovind have a “pay taxes” power?

    I suppose not.

For those that don’t understand the above comment, here’s the news story. I love the part at the end where the judge says that Hovind is “a danger to the community”:

“Pensacola evangelist and tax protester Kent Hovind winked at his wife and gave her a reassuring smile as he was led away to jail.

Jo Hovind clutched the necktie he had been wearing. She kept her eyes on her husband until he was out of sight.

A 12-person jury deliberated for 21/2 hours on Thursday before finding the couple guilty of all counts in their tax-fraud case.

Kent Hovind, founder of Creation Science Evangelism and Dinosaur Adventure Land in Pensacola, was found guilty of 58 counts, including failure to pay $845,000 in employee-related taxes. He faces a maximum of 288 years in prison.

Jo Hovind was charged and convicted in 44 of the counts involving evading bank-reporting requirements. She faces up to 225 years in prison but was allowed to remain free pending the couple’s sentencing on Jan. 9.

Kent Hovind briefly held onto her arm as the verdict was read. Neither reacted at first. But minutes later, she held her face in her hands.

“Nobody likes to pay taxes,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Heldmyer said in her closing argument. “But we do because it’s the law, and he is not above the law.”

The jury also granted the prosecution’s request for the Hovinds to forfeit $430,400. That amount equals the value of the checks signed and cashed by Jo Hovind in the 44 counts.

U.S. District Judge Casey Rodgers released Jo Hovind until sentencing but denied Kent Hovind’s request to be released. He most likely will be detained at either Escambia County Jail or Santa Rosa County Jail until sentencing.

Heldmyer said Kent Hovind was a flight risk and a “danger to the community.”

Sorry but flight risk evokes images of this prat riding off on an animatronic dinosaur.

The people who made this travesty actually have another one which makes this game seem totally sane. It’s called “Soldier of God” and offers “A bird’s-eye-view shooter game starring evangelist Sam Gipp.”

Basically you travel level after level shooting witches, homosexuals, muslims, catholics and finally demons. Each level has a Bible verse at the start so you know it’s not just senseless violence, you are doing the work of God here!

    You can find it here:

Do the ads for the game have them dancing around with plungers?
