Rapture Songs

May 16, 2011

Apparently, the Rapture is going to be accompanied by really, really bad music…

“The Abalone Kid” performs a live duet with his own recorded track. Anyone that listens to the whole song wishes that the Rapture happened or that a pack of rabid wolves broke into the room, tore their throat out, and put them out of their musical misery.

The Oak Ridge Boys torture us with the Rapture classic “I Wish We’d All Been Ready”

Dwayne Mull ruins singing for everyone, everywhere with “I’ll See You In The Rapture”

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I keep hearing people refer to to other people as a “douchebag”. I wonder what a “douchebag” is?” Watch this video  of Bobby West ‘performing’ “Love Like Lightning” and you’ll know.

A.P.P.A.L.L.I.N.G. Each is an experiment in ear torture, but last one, bare midriff guy…Oh my, the humanity….. You know, Scott, you’ve had the Worst Preacher contest, but you should really put together a worst song contest–no doubt you’d have tons of contestants!

If my old vinyl albums are any indicator, Larry Norman sang “I Wish We’d All Been Ready” as a tragic lament.

How many of these Rapture singers are singing as a crow of triumph?

Big licorice pizzas from the days before CDs. You played them on an open turntable by dragging a pickup needle across the disk instead of shining a laser through it. Came in 45RPM singles, too; no need to shell out $20+ for a CD to get the one good song amid 20 pieces of crapola.

If the proof of the pudding is in the eating, or in other words, if the content of my posts are any evidence… I plead the fifth!
