Jim West’s Kobayashi Maru

September 27, 2011

The Kobayashi Maru is a Starfleet training exercise designed to test the character of cadets in the command track at Starfleet Academy.  Supposedly, you cannot beat the test.

The Kobayashi Maru is a no-win scenario.

Jim West has designed his own historical Kobayashi Maru from the Reformation period. He is claiming he will give away a copy of the Reformation Commentary on Scripture: Galatians, Ephesians to anyone that can

Tell me in 100  words in comments below why you believe Zwingli to be the greatest of all the Reformers

Clearly, that argument cannot be made. So we have two choices: Jim is either pulling a prank or trying to trick people into competing in a no-win scenario. Either way we all know how ridiculous it is to argue that Hank Wingzli was the ‘greatest’ Reformer. In 100 words or a million words: it simply can’t be done.

And anyways, as Jim is coming to learn and has confided to me in private, Rob Bell is really the greatest Reformer!

You cheat by writing a lengthy comment about how Menno Simons was the greatest reformer, and then just change the name to Zwingli before submitting. Dr. Jewest will never know.

Problem is there’s never a green woman to sleep with in order to cheat a test when you want one.

I’d venture to say that Hank’s not the worst of the Reformers (*cough* Calvin). And I think that statement puts me in the lead so far.

So your entry would be: “At least he isn’t Calvin”?

      Works for me
