Worship Band-In-Hand

April 12, 2012

I was going to make some sort of pithy comment about this, but then I started remembering some of the worship ‘performances’ I have seen in the past…

Worship Band in Hand is a mobile app for iOS (iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch).  It provides Church and Worship Leaders with a backing band that can be tailored to their needs.  It’s a whole worship band that fits in your hand!

Features:

  • Worship Band in Hand is a free app
  • Get a preview song for free!
  • Buy the songs you want from our In-App Store.  Each song is only $4.99-$9.99
  • Mix your worship band just the way you like it.  The mix will be saved for next time!
  • Change the key to fit your voice.  If the original key isn’t just right for you, you can shift it up or down a full step.
  • Mute instruments you don’t need.  Have a Drummer?  Mute the Drums and play along with the click.
  • Have a sick musician?  Just un-mute that track in Worship Band in Hand and you’re ready to go!
  • Create and Edit Set Lists.  These work a lot like playlists in other software.
  • Easy Practicing!  You can practice anywhere now.  At home, in the office, on the road, or in the sanctuary.
  • Anyone can lead worship now.  Bass players, Drummers, Vocalists, Pianists…Being a guitar player is no longer a requirement.

How ever did earlier Christians get along? We are so blessed. And modern sound equipment means there’s nowhere in the church people can’t hear you sing or preach….

This is one of the few times where I think something good could from what you’ve linked to, Scott🙂

    The 21st century’s Omnichord.🙂

As long as the set list can never include “Water Color Ponies” it’s a win. I can’t quite shake off the experience of hearing middle-aged guys croaking out “Water Color Ponies” as offering music at Pentecostal churches.😦

What would Jesus do? He’d hire a backup band at union wages.

Can anyone give me advice on knowing how to start the songs? I love the whole idea and bought several songs, but it is so new to our musicians and vocalist…we are having a difficult time knowing when to start…the chord and lyrics charts are not much of a help regarding this! please help!
