Happy Fourth of July, ‘Merica

July 4, 2012

Here’s a clip from the local Dallas cable access program “Joyful Praise”.. this episode aired shortly after 9/11, and features the children of some of the “Joyful Praise” staff members.. one of them sings a medley, belting out “Proud To Be An American” with an off-key voice, and another song.. while the other child plays an American classic on his keyboard..

Enjoy!

Shoot off your guns, and eat twenty thousand calories today! All so you can drink too much beer and then play with fireworks!

Kind of odd this year, what with it being the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. You’d think there’d be more history presentations. Of course, since it was something of a national embarrassment …

How on earth could I forget to remind my American friends of Isaac Brock and the war of 1812?!? I feel shame and regret!
