It’s Hard to Believe Someone Could Actually Be This Stupid

October 18, 2012

And yet, apparently these idiots are actually this moronic:

A Queens woman and her fiancé bound her brother so tightly in duct tape to “help him recover” from drug addiction and mental illness that doctors had to amputate his leg.

But relatives believe Myung Chung, 27, and her fiancé, Sung-Peel Youn, 39, were only following orders from what family members called a Korean-American Christian cult when they tied up Seungick Chung in their Flushing church.

“The couple believed the pastor, who is a woman,” said Sung-Peel Youn’s sister, Sarah Youn, 42. “They say she’s God.”

No one came to the door Tuesday at Pastor Ok-Joo Shin’s Parsons Blvd. church.

Myung Chung, 27, admitted to cops that on the night of Oct. 4, she and her fiancé stuffed a sock in her brother’s mouth and made sure it would stay there with duct tape.

They also used the tape to bind his wrists, ankles and knees, according to court papers.

“They made it so tight — and all the time they were praying and singing. They thought God would make him a regular person,” said Sarah Youn.

This is not the worst faith-healing or Jesus-intervention ever. I mean, this guy only lost his leg. The ‘worst’ title goes to the scumbag parents who let their kids die instead of seeking treatment.

However, this is got to be pretty high on the list.

Let me give some advice to anyone else at Ok-Joo Shin’s “church”: whenever you bind someone to magically remove their sicknesses, so that God can make them ‘normal’, always check the pulses distally on any of your restraints before and after applying them. Also check capillary refill often to ensure proper blood flow. That: and don’t friggin’ tie people up, you morons!

But as we all know, Seungick Chung does not have to worry about having his leg amputated because he can just go to any Todd Bentley meeting and have Jesus regrow the limb for him…

Oh wait: it seems that doesn’t work!
