This reminds me of the episode of the Simpsons where Homer predicts the rapture, only Homer ended up being right.

Funny thing is, in that Simpsons episode, Homer’s predicted date was actually May 18, and then he changed it to May 19 when May 18 passed without incident. What a strange coincidence that Harold Camping’s date of May 21 is so close to Homer’s.
