God Loves the UK!

August 22, 2012

The UK has made an incredibly sensible decision and followed the lead Australian officials by excluding the scamvangelist Todd Bentley from their country.

The Telegraph is reporting that Bentley has been deemed “not conducive to the public good” and has been denied entry to the UK.

Bentley criticized the decision online, calling on his followers to pray.

He also wrote on his website

I am deeply saddened by the recent decision of the UK government regarding my entry into the country. At this point, we are thankful to God for the support from our friends in the UK who truly love Jesus and embrace the supernatural, faith and healing.

Sure, the Bentley apologists will say that this is the ‘Enemy’ blocking his path. However, these are the same morons who believe in signs-without-signs, healings-without-healings, and angelic-visits-without-angelic-visits. They believe that Todd has access to semi-phenomenal cosmic powers, that the dead can be raised, that the blind can see, that the lame can walk. But a visa. Can their awesome God get a visa?

Apparently not.

However, those of us who don’t operate under such an insulated shield of confirmation bias and stupidity know the truth: this is actually a miraculous sign that God loves the UK, and in his compassion he decided to save them from the psychological agony and spiritual abuse they would suffer at the hands of  Todd’s ‘ministry’.

Case in point:

Now if only every country in the world would follow suit… except the US, because then they would have to send him back to Canada, and no one here needs that!

Funny how getting punched in the broken sternum would send you to the ground shaking…

    As for the rest, huh.

i may have to agree with the author of the post when he said: this is actually a miraculous sign that God loves the UK, and in his compassion he decided to save them from the psychological agony and spiritual abuse they would suffer at the hands of Todd’s ‘ministry’.

I do not know much about this bemntley fellow to say much more. But from the snippet in the video one has to question his beliefs. I get the idea that God is getting the shaft in receiving the glory for these ‘healings’.

Hey! What do we look like? Canada’s garbage disposal? Can you guys at least send us an economist or something to balance him out? On a side note, the Republican National Convention was delayed by hurricane Isaac, but I haven’t heard anyone claim divine disapproval yet. Hrm.
